Who we see

From the stairs to
the pickleball court.

Physical function isn't a yes or no — it's a range, and everyone sits somewhere on it. One person is working to stand up from a chair without pushing off. Another is three sets into a pickleball match and wants to still be playing at eighty. The work is the same kind of work: measure where you are, find the limiting factor, train it, measure again. Every visit is one-on-one with Dr. Joseph Udofia, PT, DPT, at home or by telehealth.

What we work on

Wherever you are on the range.

Balance & fall prevention

Steadiness on your feet, reacting to a stumble, and the specific moments where falls actually happen — turning, reaching, getting up at night.

Walking & endurance

Pace, distance, and lasting through the day — whether the goal is the mailbox, the grocery store, or eighteen holes without the cart.

Strength & power

Getting out of a chair unaided is the same quality that drives a golf ball: the ability to produce force quickly. It is trainable at any age, and it is usually the first thing to go.

Golf, tennis & pickleball

Hip and thoracic rotation, shoulder mechanics, single-leg control, and the conditioning to play a third set — so the game ends when you decide it does, not when something hurts.

Pain that limits play

The knee, hip, shoulder, or back that has quietly shortened your rounds and your matches. Assessed as a movement problem, not just a sore joint.

After a hospital stay or surgery

Rebuilding what a week in bed took away, and getting back not just to safe, but to what you were doing before.

Whole-person health

Movement is one part of a larger picture.

Strength, balance and endurance don't exist in isolation. Where it's useful we'll also talk about sleep, hydration, nutrition, mood, and the conditions that make movement harder — and point you toward the right person when something sits outside physical therapy.

This is general wellness discussion in support of your therapy. It is not a substitute for medical advice from your physician, and we never adjust prescriptions.

How a visit works

Four steps, start to finish.

1

You get in touch

Tell us what's going on. We'll ask a few questions and let you know whether in-home therapy is the right fit.

2

We come to you

A full evaluation — walking, balance, strength, power, and range of motion measured on the spot, against what you are actually trying to do.

3

A plan for your home

Treatment and exercises built around your actual stairs, your actual course, your actual court.

4

Progress you can see

Each visit re-measures the same benchmarks, so progress is a number rather than a guess.
