For referring providers

Physical therapy
referrals.

The Udofia Clinic provides one-on-one pelvic health physical therapy for men across Southwest Houston. Every evaluation and treatment is performed by Dr. Joseph Udofia, PT, DPT — in the patient's home, which removes the transportation and privacy barriers that keep many of these referrals from ever being completed.

Appropriate referrals

Who we can help.

General physical therapy — balance and fall risk, gait, deconditioning after a hospitalization, post-surgical mobility, and safe transfers in the home.

Men's pelvic health, in the categories below.

Post-prostatectomy incontinence

Stress and mixed urinary incontinence following radical prostatectomy, at any point post-op.

Erectile function recovery

Pelvic floor rehabilitation as a component of post-prostatectomy erectile function recovery, alongside your own protocol.

Pre-surgical pre-hab

Pelvic floor training before a planned prostatectomy, so the patient arrives at surgery with established motor control.

Urinary symptoms with BPH

Urgency, frequency, nocturia, and incomplete emptying associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia, where behavioral and muscular retraining is indicated.

After a BPH procedure

Urinary urgency, frequency, and transient incontinence following TURP, HoLEP, Rezūm, UroLift, or Aquablation.

Post-radiation symptoms

Urinary and bowel symptoms following radiation for prostate cancer, where pelvic floor function contributes to the presentation.

Other pelvic floor presentations

Chronic pelvic pain, coccydynia, and defecatory dysfunction where a myofascial or pelvic floor component is suspected.

A referral is most useful with the patient's name and date of birth, contact number, insurance, the referring diagnosis, and any relevant surgical or radiation history.

Traditional Medicare only, billed directly under Part B. Self-pay rates are available. We work as part of the patient's urologic care rather than apart from it — men in this population should remain under the management of their urologist.

Where we work

Across Houston, plus telehealth.

We see patients in their own homes across the Houston area and by telehealth more broadly. If you're unsure whether we can reach a particular patient, call and we'll tell you honestly.
